Spring is here!

Spring is here in Southern California and the flowers in my front gardens are exploding with color and fragrance!

We have about 20 rose bushes in our front yard separating the grass from the sidewalk. This is my rose garden. We have lived at our house for about 2 years now and they are one of my favorite things about it. They are hardy, gorgeous and bloom year round!

My other garden in the front yard, is the front porch planter that stretches the full length of our porch...this is what needs TLC and is the next project on my list. My amaryllis seem to be doing just fine.

Craftcation was Amazing!

I just got back from Ventura, Ca where I was at Craftcation! It was great to be around other women that share for my love of art and crafting. I went with my Mom, and it completely exceed our expectations. I feel like I have such a wealth of knowledge at my finger tips now and there is so much to do. So I am going to go get started!

Check out Craftcation at

Looking forward to next year!

Paris, France

My trip to Paris over Thanksgiving!

Chocolate Mousse!
Seriously, the best thing I have ever tasted in my entire life.

Paris
= culture shock
= amazing food
= a beautiful city
= great light
= so much history
= I will be going back

Top 6 places to go while in Paris
(bc there is no way I can pick only 5)

1. Versailles - get the pass to everything, you dont want to miss the barn in the back of the gardens, tucked away behind the Petit Trianon.

2. The Eiffel Tower by Night - it is all lit up and sparkles at the top of the hour for 5 minutes!

3. Musee De' Orsay - a converted train station, now museum, with the best impressionist collection I have ever seen.

4. Luxembourg Gardens - at sunset on a fall day it produces some of the most gorgeous light I have ever seen (no wonder Monet was obsessed with light and the seasons!).

5. Notre Dome - Cathedrals are a favorite of mine, so I loved all her details. And since we were there in November and France doesn't do Thanksgiving...they were already in full Christmas swing, meaning they had a beautiful tree out in front.

6. Pere Lachaise - a beautiful cemetery, with amazing charm and good vibes...plus over a dozen of your favorites like Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilde.

Here are a few pictures from my trip!

Enjoy!
